Welcome to our home…..and our front porch. When we bought the house the outdoor wall colors were salmon colored and the front door was white and the steps were tiled. Over the last five years we have had some work done and we are all very happy with the results.  My girlfriend Donna who lives in the United States, helped us in picking out just the right shade of blue for the house.  Donna and her husband come to Berlin a couple times a year and on one visit, they brought me a pint of paint and now our house has the same color as theirs! I love it!

The house door´s story is not quite so interesting. I always wanted a red door and when our neighbors got their new door, well I knew we had finally found what we wanted.

And the steps….well I let the husband pick out the color and stones out! All kidding aside, we spent years looking for just the right stone and color, so when we finally found what we wanted we cracked the piggy bank and let the work begin.

the two flower pots on both sides of the doors used to have boxwood plants in them, but after YEARS of the plants dying on me every winter I decided to just plant annuals and be done with it.  For this years fall arrangements, I picked two matching chrysanthemums. Lucky for me I got them at Aldi for a really really good price. The purple pumpkins I found at Depot

This morning I drove to one of my favorite nurseries–teltower-gartenbau and bought a few plants to fill the remaing containers.

This plant I found at Lidl. After planting it, I decided something was missing and got put some of my fall decorations around it. The decorations were also bought at Lidl.
