Although Christmas is over and we are knee deep in January, I still would like to share this holiday tablescape with you that I created over the holidays. Someone asked me the other day how I create my tablescapes and the answer was easy…. nine times out of ten, I find my inspiration in a fabric store. As was the case this time. I find the material I used as a table runner in a local fabric store. Of course I was in the store looking for fabric for another project, when this holiday fabric just jumped into my arms and begged me to take a few meters of it home with me. And as they say in the movies… the rest is history!
Yes, you are seeing correctly, my dishes are not perfect. I debated if I should use other dishes, ones that are not chipped, but I decided against it. These dishes show that they are used and not just stored in a cabinet somewhere. The chip in the white dishes happened after one very successful dinner party where I tried to put 5 dinner plates in the dishwasher at the same time!!! LOL. And the chip in the christmas plate, well I am not quite sure about that one! I still and always will love my dishes… chips and all.
The green wine glasses were a flea market find and the red ones were an Ebay Classifieds find.
I seem to have a thing for reindeer and this was the 2019 addition to the gang. The Christmas ornaments…. well those were in a box of 30 at Aldi this year… I could not pass them up!
Hope this post finds you happy and healthy and inspired to create
