I´back………..
Can you believe it? In what was one of my longest hiatus since the start of this blog. There is a good reason for this break….. Although I speak two languages, I do not speak computer nor WordPress! So, a few months ago, things sort of went bat shit crazy and I could not upload photos anymore. I asked everyone I knew, not many could help me. I found a wordpress group on facebook, the advice I got there was that my pictures were too large. Stubborn me, said no, as that was not an issue in the past. Well, things did not get better and I started asking around again, because I was very close to shutting down my blog. A friend suggested I post a help request on the facebook page of my sons alma mater. And what you know, a dad (who I had never met before) wrote and said he could help and was willing to come over to my house to help me. Well… he came he looked at the blog site and he said same thing, the pictures were too large, and I need to resize before uploading. He showed me how do that and voila! We are back in business. I am very grateful to this kind sir and am now ready to take this blog and make it grand.
As many already know, designing Tablescapes is my passion. Where others spend hours shopping for shoes, you can find me spending hours and hours looking at dishes and all that jazz. So, sit back with your favorite cup of coffee and enjoy the rebirth of SupperTableTalk.
To celebrate this occasion I would like to share with you my FIREMAN Themed Table. One of my good friends back in Cloppenburg is married to a fireman and even two of her sons have become professional firemen. A big thanks to Petra and her family, for loaning me the helmet and the fire trucks. This one is for all those fire fighters out there….
When designing this tablescape, I struggled with what to do for a centerpiece. Just flowers did not seem the right choice. Lucky me, my girlfriend is married to a fire fighter and was willing to loan me this hat. As you can see german fireman have different hats than an american firefighter has.
The candle votives are from IKEA
of course every firefighters son has fire trucks! Thanks to the Düwel Boys for lending me some of their treasured toys.
Well… I had to add some flowers…
The red charger plates are from Nanu Nana and the black plates are from Ikea. The red wine glasses were an ebay find.
My trusted Cricut Explore Air helped me create the place cards and the gold cutlery is from Action Markt
I hoped you enjoyed this tablescape… I sure had fun designing it and I am over the moon happy that I can now share it with you here at SupperTableTalk.
I will be sharing this design on Thursday with Tablescape Thursdays over at BetweenNapsonthePorch

Nicki, great table and what a unique theme! Those little firetrucks are so cute and love the place cards that you made with your Cricut.
I had the same problem awhile back with my photos on my phone being uploaded at 3 times their normal size – the size was 12,000 by 9000 (in whatever the metric is) as opposed to the normal size that’s uploaded which is 4000 by 3000. I didn’t even notice until I was watermarking them and I couldn’t see the font as it was so small. And of course WordPress can’t upload that size of picture. I had to resize my photos for awhile and then all of a sudden it stopped as suddenly as it started. Weird. Anyway I’m glad you were able to fix the problems and welcome back!!
