Long long ago, the night before a wedding was reserved for the rehearsal dinner and the bachelor party. Yes, back in the day, only the Groom celebrated with his besties the ending of bachelorhood. At some point, the girls said, hey, we want to party too and so the Bachelorette Party was born. Quickly, these parties turned into destination events. One niece of mine flew to Cancun, the other to Paris and my nephew and his friends flew to Amsterdam for a long weekend. The “stripper” factor was not that important anymore, it was more about spending quality time and yes, of course lots of cocktail drinking time with ones besties. (okay… I have to admit… there probably was a stripper still involved, they just did not tell their old auntie about it!)
So, now my question, what do you do, when the bride is not 20 anymore and going away for a whole weekend just not possible? Well, we treated our bride to a day of wellness in a local spa. I have to say it was a perfect day. We were 6 women enjoying a day, that I really would like to call a “TIME OUT” Day. We left everyone and everything behind us and drove about an hour out the city to a spa in Bad Belzig. While the bride enjoyed a massage, we girls took advantage of the saunas and the pool. Of course there were treats…. everyone got a a burlap goodie bag, filled with lots of goodies.
We ended the day with dinner in Potsdam at Mami Dang in Potsdam
The goodie bag was filled with lots of goodies…. Everyone got a large towel, a personalized water bottle, snacks and more….
slippers, candle, essential oil roll ons, body lotion, Pillow Spray and more!
the water bottles turned out beautifully. When looking for a font, I decided to use the font from the wedding invite.
What´s a goodie bag without homemade cookies? JgA stands for Junggesselinenabschiedsfeier, which in englisch means Bachelorette Party
The burlap bags turned out better than I could have imagined. Grateful to a facebook group that advised me on how to do it!
the final touch was the personalized tag
