Remember last year I told you all about our water damage and how we were facing a complete remodel of both the upstairs and downstairs bathroom? Well…… that all happened along with CoVid and alot of other stuff…(including my blog being out of commision for weeks and weeks. That is all behind us now, and I am ready to continue the bathroom remodel story and the bedroom remodel story……..
So this what the downstairs bathroom lookedl like before. The hoses you see are there to dry out the ceiling(we basically had a sauna). The diving equipment as mine from our diving days.
The first to come down of course is the ceiling… Let Construction Commence!
A view from the bathroom to the basement……. one does not get to do that everyday!
no more ceiling… if you ignore the hoses, sort of looks kinda of cool
and in a blink of an eye, or in our case in a blink of week… the tiles and drywall are gone and we can see the bare naked stone. No turning back now.
The what you don´t see parts of the Toliet are being installed. We were very lucky, we got the last one at the store. Covid effected all parts of our lives.
In this photo you can see where the pipes from where the toliet used to be. This will now be our shower wall.
Soon here you will find my husband taking a shower(no worries…. no photos!) My wish was to have a walk in shower, his wish was to have a rainfall shower head.
is it is getting there… dry wall going up
the prep work for the walk in shower
now is that not simply beautiful?
The shower wall is in! Still waiting for the correct sink to come.
and we are done! The correct sink is in place. New towels are already in use. Houston… we have no problem anymore!
If someone would have told me this entire bathroom project would take the better part of a year to complete, I would have said they are completely off their rocker. But…. it did! But like so many things, one quickly forgets the dust, the delays and everything in between. We are more than happy with the results. My husband loves his Rain Shower and Porsche….. the toilet. She comes with a remote control. (do not get me started)
