Oh how I love Blog Hopping! This is my third blog hop and I have to admit, it almost did not happen……this is a hetic time for me, as I work in a “Eis Manufaktur”–translated I make ice cream and it is summer so we are busy making litres of everything from vanille gelato to watermelon sorbet! But, I managed to get done early today, so I pulled off getting the pictures taken and uploaded…WHEH!
When Chloe first announced this blog hop, I had planned to set the table outside in the backyard…..alas, I live in Germany and it rains a heck of a lot in the summer.
I happen to be a collector of sand and so the recently aquired sand from Ahrenshoop was used to decorate this tablescape. The beach chairs were bought long ago at Nanu Nana(one of my favorite stores here in Germany)
The fisherman´s net was not intended to be on the plates, but I just could not get in untangled, thus I grabbed the scissors and created nets for each plate!
The blue chargers are also from Nanu Nana…..in the middle of the picture you see a small stone with two paper birds…a keepsake from my great-nephews first communion.
THis picture may not be perfect, but it is my favorite!
Love the blue fish…shout out to my boss at the Dolci Eis Lounge who lent them to me..
Happy Blog hopping everyone! I truly enjoy this group and can not wait to hop to the next one!

Nikki, this tablescape is so cute. I absolutely love the little striped beach chairs. I’d love to have some of them. Would you share were you purchased them? The netting is a great idea as is the sand on the table. You wouldn’t know that you were in rainy Germany. Great job.

Nicki, what a clever use of the things in your tablescape and I agree with Chloe – BRAVE to use your sand on the table – but it really makes it look so good! I’m with you – love that photo that’s your favorite – it captures all the elements so well. It’s been a fun week, and I’m glad you were able to take enough time out to join the fun. Hope you get to spend at least some time relaxing this summer and not work too hard for the enjoyment of all of those of us who love ice cream!

Such a nice and cozy beach themed tablescape! I recently bought a couple of very similar beach chairs in red at Flying Tiger: now I know how to use them 😊
