Wow, can it really be the 29th of NOvember and is Thanksgiving 2018 already done and over? Time seems to flying at lightening speed. This year we celebrated our Thanksgiving Dinner or Friendsgiving as I now like to call it on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Since I live in Germany, everyone had to work on Thursday. And hosting the dinner on a late Sunday afternoon, was the best decision we made. The guests came around 4:30pm and we enjoyed a very relaxed, very delicious turkey dinner. In a seperate post I will tell you all about the food and my Thanksgiving project that is in the making.
But now, sit back, relax and enjoy my Thanksgiving Tablescape 2018 Pictures. (photos taken by my Number ONE Son!)
Each Guest recieved a hand crafted Christmas Bulb….I found the idea online and fell in love with them.
I went with a outdoors theme again. I seem not to get enough of the green and brown tones.
I finally after many many years made it to the IHR Lager Verkauf. Oh my, I wish I would have had time to take pictures, but I was sooooooo over welmed that I simply forgot. The table runner and matching napkins were found at this Sale. One Runner cost 2€´s and the napkins were 1€ a piece. WHAT A GREAT DEAL. I am relieved that I had taken the train to visit my niece, because if I had driven, then I would have bought more and that makes for an unhappy husband. But, between you and me, next year I am driving my car!
We live in Kleinmachnow, a suburb of Berlin. One of the many perks of living out here, is that there is a small forest right across the street from our house. That is so helpful when I need a nice twig or so.
The main attraction of this tablescape are the dishes. A few years ago, my nephew and niece gave me a complete set for Christmas. I love the dishes and treasure them with all my heart. What a lucky Auntie am I?
This years Acorn crop was not the greatest. There were tons and tons of them, but due to the hot summer we had(well that is the reason I came up with) they were tiny and hollow and well just not perfect. I did find a few….used some glitter and volia, I had some new decorations.
The place cards were made with help of my Cricut Explore Air and the place card holders are from my niece Heidi´s WEdding.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone. Be sure to stop by on Friday for FUN FACT FRIDAY.
