Time to go Blog Hopping Again……I had such a good time the last time when we all created a spring tablescape, that I really could not wait for the Broadway HOp! NOw I have to admit something to you all, I had a million ideas….Phantom of the OPera, Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph, and Kinky Boots. But when it came down to finally putting the tablescape together, I ran into a creative road block and was stuck. Thankfully, my niece in Hamburg(peanuts peanuts) mentioned the Lion King to me and well the rest is history! Do enjoy the tablescape…..sure wish I could invite you all now for dinner!

I would love to be at this table! The lighting, chic decor, and theatrical touches really makes it seem like you’re at a theater. The decorative grass and animals are so clever! Beautiful job.

NICKI, LION KING WAS THE FIRST BROADWAY SHOW I EVER SAW IN NEW YORK SO IT HOLDS SPECIAL MEMORIES. I LOVE THE LOOK OF YOUR TABLESCAPE. DID YOU ALREADY HAVE THE ELEMENTS ON HAND OR DID YOU COLLECT THEM FOR THE TABLESCAPE? WHERE DID YOU GET THAT FABULOUS GOLD TABLECLOTH AND THE ANIMALS? VERY CREAVTIVE.

HI Carol,
many thanks for your note! Yes, I had all elements on hand for this one(the rhinos, and african lady figure come from my boss)(the elephants belong to my son). The gold tablecloth is actually a paper tablerunner! In my german hometown, there is a small store/outlet that sells all sorts of wonderful supplies. Every time i travel there to visit my sister, I make sure to go to that store!

Sweet, Nicki! Love your photographs of your tablescape. It really give the feeling of being in the wild. I can appreciate the struggles you had with the creative process. I did the same. Sometimes I believe we simply overthink things. Yours turned out very nice. Have a great weekend.
